Cost and Coverage
Cash Pay
Aside from the initial 'New Patient Evaluation' which is mandatory for all new patients, cash pay rates are based on the appointment type you select (ie. 60, 30, or 15 minute follow-up appointments).
Listed prices are flat rates without hidden costs or fees. You get billed once for the service you receive.
This is the mandatory initial visit for all new patients. It includes a thorough patient history, diagnostic evaluation, medication management, and limited psychotherapy.
New Patient Evaluation (90 minutes) = $270
This type of follow-up is for patients with complex issues requiring problem solving, discussion, clinical review, and medical decision making. It is also the appointment for those in need of dedicated psychotherapy.
Complex Follow-up / Psychotherapy (60 minutes) = $200
This type of follow-up is for 'normal' appointments where medication changes need to be made. It may involve limited psychotherapy.
Extended Follow-up (30 minutes) = $120
This type of follow-up appointment is for simple medication refills and dose adjustments. It does not include psychotherapy.
Simple Follow-up (15 minutes) = $80
Insurance
Psych Matter PLLC is in the midst of credentialing with a wide variety of insurance providers. Please check back periodically to see if Psych Matter services are covered by your insurance provider.
Cost of services with insurance coverage is dictated by billing codes. Usually, you as the patient don't have to worry about this complicated system of reimbursement! Most insurances will simply require a nominal co-pay rate for each appointment. This is a set dollar amount established by your insurance, not Psych Matter PLLC.
Even if Psych Matter is contracted with your insurance carrier, we recommend that you contact your insurance provider to see what fees may be associated with your appointment.
**Please check back regularly to see if our insurance coverage has changed. Insurance contracting is a work in progress!
