Psych Matter is a 100% online telemedicine practice offering psychiatric treatment for any/all conditions. Our providers see adults age 18-70 located within Utah, and offer a combination of medication management and supportive psychotherapy to help people reach a more health, happy and functional state of existence.

           
While Psych Matter providers are comfortable and capable of treating any mental health condition, because it is a 100% online practice, there are some limitations which need to be considered when deciding whether Psych Matter is a good fit for your mental health needs. Please consider the following:

 

1) To see a Psych Matter provider, you need to have a reliable internet connection.

2) To use Psych Matter services, you need to own and know how to use an electronic device capable of video conferencing.

 

3) In accordance with DEA law, Psych Matter providers cannot prescribe controlled substances unless: 1) the patient presents a referral for treatment from their primary practice provider; 2)  the patient is a legacy patient of a Psych Matter provider who has been seen in person at least once (for example: if a patient saw Dr. Tueller in-person while he was working for the University of Utah, they can still be prescribed controlled substances by him through Psych Matter services).

4) If you have a complex medical condition/s, Psych Matter may not be the best fit for you. Psych Matter is an independent, 100% online practice. Complex medical conditions which are managed in a system of care (eg. a hospital system), where additional resources and access to care are more readily available.

 

5) Similar to complex medical conditions, mental health conditions which require semi-regular hospital visits are best managed within a system of care (eg. a hospital system). If your mental health condition results in more than two ER/hospital visits per year, Psych Matter may not be a good fit for you.
